Defensive end / outside linebacker · Jets 2010
A longtime opponent joined the playoff chase
Taylor came to the Jets in 2010 after years of facing them with Miami. He played all sixteen regular-season games, recorded five sacks and joined the team’s run to the AFC Championship Game. The following season he returned to the Dolphins. His single year in New York sits inside a career whose greatest share was played across the division.
The person behind the name
His one season shows how a familiar rival can become a useful teammate. He contributed to a Jets team playing deep into January.
Taylor tackled Mewelde Moore in the end zone late in the Jets’ 22–17 win at Pittsburgh in December 2010.
Jets years: 2010. The honors above distinguish team recognition from Canton’s whole-career recognition.
