Preparation that put an island on the field

Revis Island was built through preparation, not just talent. Before his Ring induction, Revis recalled the hill runs and extra work behind his dream, and how coaches sometimes had to send him home from practice. That study let the Jets trust him one-on-one against leading receivers. His two spells in New York connected dominant coverage to a personal standard of arriving ready for every Sunday.

The person behind the name

Their Jets story.

Trusting one cornerback against a leading receiver gives the defense more choices elsewhere. His preparation helped make that trust possible.

The 2009 evidence

Revis recorded six interceptions and 31 passes defended as the Jets led the league in pass defense.

A full field against Miami

His 2011 interception return against the Dolphins covered 100 yards.

Jets years: 2007–2012, 2015–2016. The honors above distinguish team recognition from Canton’s whole-career recognition.
